Mel Gibson is often spotted exploring Budapest on foot

Hungary proves to be a great resting spot for Hollywood star Mel Gibson himself. It seems that the celebrity likes to blend in with the folks of Budapest, as he is often spotted exploring the city on foot. Find out what he has been up to recently in the capital.

Because the actor is currently filming The Continental in Hungary – a prequel to the movie John Wick – Mel Gibson is turning up in the most unexpected places. Hvg wrote that the star and his family recently visited a rock climbing gym and a restaurant.

The restaurant Gibson recently took a liking to is Textúra. Unfortunately, the owner, Ákos Sárközi, could not meet the movie star himself. This is because Sárközi was attending an awards gala. There, Sárközi’s second establishment, Borkonyha, got to be included among the best, but as a result, the owner missed his chance to meet the actor.

Mountex Boulder also had an unexpected encounter with Gibson. He and his whole family went rock climbing between two shoots of his new series. It seems as if seeing superstars around Hungary is becoming ever more common. Will you be the next person to see Gibson out and about?

“Even the great Holywood stars know where to go for a good climb! The other day, Mel Gibson and his family visited, so if you’re a movie fanatic, make sure to visit us. Who knows, maybe you’ll have a chance to meet your favourite!” wrote Mountex Boulder on their Facebook page.

Have you seen this star?

The so-called “Mel Gibson Spotting” has become a new free time activity for many. Last month, in April, Bors published an article about how the star visited a gyros fast-food establishment. Many celebrities have taken a liking to Hungary, the article mentions. Kind people, beautiful buildings, and awe-inspiring attractions in Budapest are all contributing factors to why these stars turn up here so often. Gibson himself is said to be very approachable, kindly taking photographs with store owners.
